Cape Forum was formally recognised by the Western Cape Provincial Cultural Commission as a cultural organisation active in the province this past week. This recognition confirms Cape Forum\u2019s continued commitment to promoting, protecting and enhancing the rich cultural heritage of communities across the Western Cape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cThe official designation of Cape Forum as a cultural organisation also recognises its role in promoting cultural dialogue, supporting community initiatives and making a meaningful contribution to the province\u2019s diverse cultural landscape,\u201d says Bernard Pieters, Head of Community Activation at Cape Forum.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
The recognition was confirmed by the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a recognised cultural body, Cape Forum looks forward to working with stakeholders, institutions and communities to further enhance cultural participation and preservation. This milestone provides a valuable platform to expand initiatives that celebrate identity, heritage and shared values \u200b\u200bin the region. In this way, Cape Forum can improve the living conditions of many communities in the Western Cape and promote community self-reliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
