Cape Forum and Educatio sign recognition and cooperation agreement

On January 18, the civil rights organisation Cape Forum signed a recognition and cooperation agreement to officially enter into cooperation between the Cape Forum and Educatio.

“The empowerment of the youth and the mobilisation of teaching aids in the Witzenbergberg community is our highest priority. We, at the Cape Forum, are delighted by the passion and vision of the future of Educatio, who are already taking responsibility themselves, not only for their future but also that of the broader community,” says Heindrich Wyngaard, Chief executive officer of the Cape Forum.

“The decline of our youth, with school dropouts and unemployment forced us to start an organisation that does something about it. Our children have different needs that must be tackled, that’s why we do this, and we believe that our community will support us,” says Daniel Dirks, Chairperson of Educatio.

The cooperation between the Cape Forum and Educatio follows after these community organisations started working together on several projects in the Witzenberg area last year. The Cape Forum supports the work that Educatio does and what they stand for, and are looking forward to what they will achieve together by combining their resources for the benefit of the community.
