Joslin Smith – never again!

Joslin Smith crept into everybody’s heart.

Her story brought the whole country to a standstill.

Cape Forum appealed to the public to attend the court proceedings in Vredenburg on 13 March 2024 and protest against the suspects’ possible bail, and also compiled a petition which have already been signed by around 1 300 people. 

What happens to our children? How does it happen that a six-year-old disappears without a trace? Unfortunately, Joslin’s case is not isolated. In 2023, more than 250 000 people were found to be victims of human trafficking in South Africa alone. Of these, only between 1% and 2% of the victims survive.
